Veteran Corporate and Legal Services Attorney David Jargiello Joins Holland & Knight in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (August 3, 2026) – Holland & Knight is continuing the strategic growth of its Corporate, M&A and Securities Section nationwide with the addition of David Jargiello as a partner in San Francisco. Mr. Jargiello advises law firms, legal services businesses, private equity investors and legal technology companies on strategic transactions and complex business structures with corporate and professional responsibility considerations. He was previously a partner and general counsel at VLP Law Group LLP.
Mr. Jargiello joins Holland & Knight's Legal Services Transactions Team and will also practice with the Firm's Legal Profession Team. The Legal Services Transactions Team is highly regarded for its sophisticated approach to law firm operations and is a market leader in management services organizations (MSO) structuring, alternative business structures (ABS) and regulatory compliance. Mr. Jargiello is one of five recent additions to the legal services team, following Partners Jessica Berkowitz in Dallas, Michael Zhang in Chicago and Courtney Miller in Washington, D.C., and Associate Sam Schaffer in Miami.
Mr. Jargiello brings more than three decades of transactional experience, with a distinctive combination of corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A), law firm governance, professional responsibility and legal services industry knowledge. He counsels clients on law firm mergers and other combinations, lateral group transactions, investments in law firms and legal services businesses, MSO and ABS, including the ownership, governance and regulatory issues those matters present.

Mr. Jargiello has served as general counsel to three law firms and a venture capital fund. He served as venture partner and general counsel of Flywheel Ventures, a seed and early-stage venture capital firm, where he structured and supported investment activity and advised on fund structuring, partnership matters and legal and operational risk.
In addition to his transactional practice, Mr. Jargiello has developed a significant profile in professional responsibility and law firm governance. He is a lecturer in professional responsibility at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and previously served as a lecturer in professional responsibility at Stanford Law School. Mr. Jargiello also serves on the 13-member board of trustees of the State Bar of California as one of five members appointed by the California Supreme Court, and previously served on the State Bar's Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct. He is the author of Professional Responsibility for Lawyers.

Mr. Jargiello earned a J.D. degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, an M.S. degree from Stanford University and a B.A. degree from Case Western Reserve University. He is admitted to practice in California and Pennsylvania.
