Healthcare & Life Sciences Attorney Shannon Hartsfield will be attending the 2019 Annual Florida Bar Convention to speak on the ethical obligations and competencies in technology that attorneys need to understand in order to better serve their clients.

Ms. Hartsfield will speak during the 2019 Masters Seminar on Ethics discussing "Attorney Ethical Obligations and Competency in Technology ‐ Internal and External Practice Considerations" on June 28, 2019. The panel will discuss how understanding client technology related issues such as electronic discovery, intellectual property, as well as existing and emerging technology related to compliance requirements under HIPAA, PCI (Payment Card Industry), state data breach laws and the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is essential in efficiently and ethically delivering legal services.
