Real Estate attorney Esteban García was quoted in an El Colombiano article about the elimination of the Sisbén scoring system to access housing subsidies, especially priority interest housing (VIP). Mr. García specified that, although the new resolution of the Ministry of Housing removes the scores, it continues to maintain the allocation based on the Sisbén, which does not solve the ultimate issue of the reactivation of the real estate sector.

"While it may help a little with allocations, it doesn't really fix the underlying problem," he said.
