Holland & Knight Named "Health Care Practice Group of the Year" by Law360
TAMPA, Fla. (January 29, 2026) – Holland & Knight has been named a 2025 "Health Care Practice Group of the Year" by Law360, which highlighted the group's representation in significant acquisitions, investments and partnerships across the spectrum of industry players in the healthcare arena.
Law360's Practice Groups of the Year annually honor the attorney teams behind litigation wins and significant transaction work that resonated throughout the legal industry over the past year. This year's winners were selected from approximately 800 submissions across more than 30 practice areas.
In its profile article, Law360 noted that Holland & Knight boasts one of the nation's largest healthcare practices, with attorneys advising on an array of transactional, litigation and regulatory healthcare matters.
"This recognition of our work speaks to the depth and breadth of experience across our more than 400 healthcare-focused lawyers and lobbyists at Holland & Knight," said Brent Hill, leader of the Healthcare Section. "We have skilled attorneys who can offer their insights in a variety of healthcare subspecialties, including regulatory, M&A, intellectual property, tax and real estate. We're proud of this recognition and of this comprehensive suite of services that we can offer to our clients."
Law360 specifically lauded the Firm for a number of meaningful matters, including:
- representation of AdventHealth, one of the nation's largest nonprofit healthcare providers, in its $70 million acquisition of GenesisCare cancer centers in North Carolina, purchase of Colorado-based provider practice OnPoint Medical Group and addition of the Florida-based multispecialty healthcare provider Bond Clinic
- advising on Evernorth Health Services' $3.5 billion investment in Shields Health Solutions, a specialty pharmacy manager that partners with more than 80 health systems across nearly all U.S. states
- serving as lead counsel to Palomar Health, California's largest public healthcare district, during its financial restructuring as well as the structuring of a joint powers authority between Palomar and University of California San Diego
Mr. Hill states in the article that much of the recent work reflects a strategic pivot by clients toward outpatient services and says he expects continued mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity in the healthcare industry.
