Holland & Knight Advises Betterfly on $100 Million Acquisition of Mexico’s Minu

MEXICO CITY (September 9, 2026) – Holland & Knight advised Betterfly, a leading employee benefits and insurance technology company, on its acquisition of Minu Mexico in a cross-border transaction valued at approximately $100 million. The transaction, which is one of the largest startup-to-startup acquisitions in Latin America's recent history, was announced on June 10.

The deal creates one of the most comprehensive employee benefits ecosystems in Mexico, serving corporate clients and employees. The combined platform integrates financial wellness with physical and mental health offerings, strengthening Betterfly's presence in the Mexican market.

Headquartered in Miami, Betterfly is an employee benefits platform combining insurance, preventive health and technology to deliver wellness solutions. Minu is a Mexico City-based platform offering corporate benefits – including on-demand salary access, telemedicine and financial wellness tools – serving major employers in Mexico.
