Holland & Knight's experienced lobbyists and attorneys are focusing on the policy implications of the upcoming 2020 elections. We look forward to you joining us for a series of virtual presentations as members of our Public Policy & Regulation Group discuss the impacts on industry priorities that matter to you.

With a long list of to-do items awaiting Washington and the 117th U.S. Congress, there will be a lot to discuss.

Our fifth program in this series will focus on Healthcare and Life Sciences. Partners Michael Werner and Lisa Hawke will provide insights on the expected approaches of the first-term Biden Administration or second-term Trump Administration regarding key issues and priorities.

Mr. Werner will focus on issues affecting drug and biotech companies such as those relating to possible regulation of drug prices, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and regulatory reforms. He also will address other topics such as regulatory treatment of COVID-19-applicable tests and personal protective equipment (PPE), medical apps, wearables and other digital health products, as well as the prospects for changes to federal policy relating to cannabidiol (CBD) and hemp.

Ms. Hawke will address the potential for major changes to the healthcare system and the Affordable Care Act following the election, impacts on our public health, emergency preparedness and safety-net systems resulting from COVID-19, and the effects of all of these possible changes on healthcare providers and patients.

All participants are encouraged to share questions for our panelists by using the Q&A function offered through Zoom or by sending them in advance to Stephanie Goldstein.
