Holland & Knight Advises Emko Capital in Acquisitions of Steelmax Tools and Scotchman Industries

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 20, 2023) – A team of Holland & Knight attorneys represented Emko Capital and its newly formed holding company, SMX Industrial Solutions, in its acquisitions of Steelmax Tools and Scotchman Industries. Terms of the transactions, which closed on September 22, were not disclosed.

Steelmax Tools, which operates in both Colorado and Pennsylvania, is a key supplier of fabrication and welding mechanization solutions, including magnetic drilling machines, plate and pipe bevellers, and trackless and track-mounted welding carriages.

Philip, South Dakota-based Scotchman Industries leads the market as a manufacturer of hydraulic ironworkers, cold saws and hydraulic presses. The company has a legacy of more than five decades and is renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation and customer satisfaction.
